October 4th 2016, SQL Relay is back in Cardiff for the fifth time. SQL Relay is a conference focused on the Microsoft Data Platform. SQL Relay Cardiff is set during working hours, in the city centre, and free to make it easier for everyone who wants to attend to join us. There's even a dedicated coach for the folks who are stuck due to the Severn Tunnel closure. A nice, friendly conference we hope to see you and your colleagues there!
SQL Relay Cardiff will be packed full of sessions from awesome speakers. The talks will be split over 5 rooms / tracks:
On top of all the fantastic talks, there'll be:
FREE! These events are funded entirely by our awesome sponsors, and the time donated by the organising committee.
Please register your place using the 'Register' button. We'll be operating a waiting list, but places are limited and are on a first-come, first-served basis. So register your place before you miss out.
Stuff happens! You may not be able to make it to the event after all. If you can't make it for whatever reason, you can return your ticket in the My Tickets section. Returning the ticket means that we can offer the spot to someone else and ensure that the money the sponsors give us for the food and venue hire doesn't get wasted. Thank you in advance for returning the ticket.
Sessions will run from 9-5, with registration open at 8:30.

It is not possible to catch to Cardiff that would normally go via Bristol Parkway. Any such train stops at Parkway and requires a replacement bus that goes to Newport, and a further train would be required. This is a horrible state of affairs (trust me I still commute to / from Parkway once a week!) so we've hired a coach that will depart from Bristol Parkway at 7:30am and take everyone direct to the venue. Then it'll leave at 5:30 to take everyone back to Parkway.
This costs £14.50, about the same as a day return from Parkway to Cardiff. You can book your space by selecting the coach ticket during registration, on top of the existing general sessions ticket. If you've already registered you can put it through separately, and you won't have to fill in all the info again.
We'll be providing a light lunch, plus tea & coffee at a couple of breaks. We will be catering for vegetarian food, according to your food preferences during registration.
Please register your place using the 'Register' button at the top of the page.

There will be plenty of competitions to enter on the day, with some awesome prizes provided by our sponsors. Further details will be provided nearer the date.
Everyone has a 'first event', including the speakers and organisers of this event. We're lucky to be a part of the UK SQL Server community, one of the most friendly and welcoming tech communities out there. Whether you're in a group or on your own, you'll be made to feel welcome and will learn lots about new and existing technology, as well as a chance to meet your peers and SQL heroes.
No, but there is a consistent theme. A number of speakers will present at multiple events, but the sessions and content will change throughout the tour according to speaker availability and the technical content required at each venue.
Absolutely, yes. With multiple tracks of content you can't see every session on a single day, so why not join us at multiple venues to make sure you get a full dose of SQL Server awesomeness.
We welcome all attendees, international and local. However, we are unable to provide or support visas for foreign attendees.
Send us a message here and we'll do our best to get back to you asap.
