SQL Relay 2015: Nottingham

SQL Relay is coming in October 2015!

SQL Relay will be coming to Nottingham on Wednesday the 7th of October, featuring top quality SQL Server content from Microsoft, and nationally and internationally renowned speakers.

Four Tracks

Tracks

We will have 4 tracks; BI, Database, Analytics and a workshop track. These will cover a wide range of topics such as SQL Server performance, management and development, Azure/Cloud technology, R, Big Data, Cubes, Reporting and Dashboarding. The agenda will be announced nearer the event.

With over 1000 registrations on the last Relay, reserve your place quickly.

The day will comprise of a series of 1 hour technical presentations, at beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. You can switch tracks at will throughout the day, to select the sessions that are most relevant to you.

The Event

Speaker Submission

Speaker submission is now open, you can submit sessions for any tracks and for any or all of the 8 Relay events.

Cost

FREE! These events are funded entirely by our awesome sponsors, and the time donated by the organising committee. They are expensive to run, so please do show our sponsors some love, and we kindly ask that if you have a place, that you do turn up on the day. Otherwise you're taking a place that another attendee could benefit from. We appreciate your help here.

Time

Sessions will run provisionally from 9-5, with registration open at 8:30. (To Be Confirmed)

Food

We'll be providing a light lunch, plus tea & coffee at a couple of breaks. We will be catering for vegetarian food, according to your food preferences during registration.

SQL Relay 2015 Nottingham Venue

Parking

There are reduced day and 24hr rates for 2 nearby multi story car parks. These are NCP Mount Street and NCP St James Street which are all within easy walking distance. Patrons of the Albert Hall can park at any of these car parks where you will receive a ticket. This can then be validated on your arrival at the Albert Hall reception.

Travel

The venue is 5 Minute walk from Old Market Square, 15 minute walk from Victoria and Broadmarsh Bus Station.

The venue is 15 Minute walk or 5 minute Taxi / Tram Journey from Nottingham Train Station, or 5 Minutes walk from the tram stops at either Old Market Square or the Royal Centre.

We'll be operating a waiting list, but places are limited and are on a first-come first-served basis. So register your place before you miss out.

We're lucky to be a part of the UK SQL Server community, one of the most friendly and welcoming tech communities out there. Whether you're in a group or on your own, you'll be made to feel welcome and will learn lots about new and existing technology, as well as a chance to meet your peers and SQL heroes.

Are all the events the same?

No, but there is a consistent theme. A number of speakers will present at multiple events, but the sessions and content will change throughout the tour according to speaker availability and the technical content required at each venue.

Can I register for multiple events?

Absolutely, yes. With multiple tracks of content you can't see every session on a single day, so why not join us at multiple venues to make sure you get a full dose of SQL Server awesomeness.

Visas

We welcome all attendees, international and local. However we are unable to provide or support visas for foreign attendees.
